Mataora - The Living Face

Mataora - The Living Face is a mini doco that join Ariki Huata on his journey receiving his Mataora. Mataora is a form of Tā Moko (Māori Tattooing) that tells the narrative of the recipients genealogy and achievements. Moko Kanohi (facial tattooing) is making its resurgence amongst the Māori people as it was nearly lost due to the effects of colonisation.
